Job description for Director of Fundraising role
The Fundraising Director shall:
- Create or update a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
- Set and track a yearly fundraising goal based on the yearly Chapter budget
- Identify and maintain lists of potential sources of income by category
- Develop and manage fundraising events to support the required yearly budget, such as:
- Writing funding proposals and send to potential, major donors and businesses
- Applying for grants
- Working with local restaurants for % of sales donations
- Maintain records of donors and donations, in cooperation with the Treasurer / President
- Ensure that all legal reporting fundraising requirements are satisfied
- Evaluate the success of fundraising efforts
- Perform such other duties that from time to time may be assigned by the Board of Directors
