Job description for Director of Fundraising role

The Fundraising Director shall:

  • Create or update a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
  • Set and track a yearly fundraising goal based on the yearly Chapter budget
  • Identify and maintain lists of potential sources of income by category
  • Develop and manage fundraising events to support the required yearly budget, such as:
    • Writing funding proposals and send to potential, major donors and businesses
    • Applying for grants
    • Working with local restaurants for % of sales donations
  • Maintain records of donors and donations, in cooperation with the Treasurer / President
  • Ensure that all legal reporting fundraising requirements are satisfied
  • Evaluate the success of fundraising efforts
  • Perform such other duties that from time to time may be assigned by the Board of Directors
