Director of Volunteers
Job description for Director of Volunteers role
The Volunteers Director shall:
- Assess volunteer needs of programs, projects, and other Chapter activities, with input from the individual Officers / Directors on their specific needs
- Recruit new volunteers from current and potential members, and assess skills and interests
- Place volunteers in programs, project, and activities needing assistance
- Serve as volunteer “cheerleader” to encourage ongoing commitment
- Coordinate volunteers to welcome new members and visitors to PFLAG meetings, in cooperation with the Membership Director
- Arrange for refreshments to be available at in-person meetings
- Perform such other duties that from time to time may be assigned by the Board of Directors
