The Bystander Challenge: Moving from Bystander to Upstander
An UPSTANDER is a person who speaks or acts in support of an individual or cause, particularly someone who intervenes on behalf of a person being attacked or bullied.
Provided by Douglas County Pride, The Bystander Challenge is a three-hour live workshop by the National Conflict Resolution Center. This workshop teaches people how to communicate when they perceive red flags or micro-aggressions. Participants learn to have challenging conversations in ways that demonstrate respect, inclusiveness, and dignity for everyone involved.
